Sadly not good anymore. I have been loyal to Nationwide for decades as I believe in the concept of building society banking, but their chatbot process is excruciating, their customer service poor (for example asking what your contact preference is then repeatedly ignoring it), and there is no interest on their standard current account Reviewed on: 27th February 2025

How to feel valued and appreciated.

I always feel valued and welcomed at Nationwide with always a person to help me when necessary. Rarely do I have a problem but always is it very soon sorted out. I also get interest on the money in my account. Nothing is too much for the staff to help you. Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Ver pleased with Nationwide's Flex account

Have had this account - in various forms - for over ten years. Always happy with customer service. The app is user-friendly and allows me to stay on top of my finance and transactions. I recommended a similar account to my teenaged son who has also grown fond of Nationwide's offers and service. Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

App is seriously lacking

I took advantage of the £175 switch offer that Nationwide were offering. At first, everything was good however, I soon realised Nationwide’s app and technology is seriously lacking. The app is very limited in what it can do and the lack of Push Notifications through the app to warn of upcoming Direct Debit payments is infuriating. Furthermore, Nationwide’s text alerts are too basic and not detailed enough. Not being able to use the Post Office to deposit cash or cheques is also annoying. Whilst I appreciate they are keeping their branches open, we don’t live that close to one so having access to bank at the Post Office would make life easier (or allow for cheques to be deposited through the app - that would be even better!).
