had to make a claim , so many things went wrong when trying to upload a dashcam video to their site ( their website sucks to use) got sent to a physio for my neck who barely spoke english & did close to nothing , very poor info re what happens to my no claims bonus, very unipressed with how they operate Reviewed on: 23rd August 2024

Impossible to get hold of - beware

Had a claim open for 4 months and it’s impossible to get through, nothing happens. Waiting for repairers to call back and they don’t. They’ll charge £200 to get your car repaired by a professional outfit. Beware - cheap insurance you get what you pay for. Reviewed on: 20th November 2023

Awful customer experience

Avoid like the plague

The worst experience- two weeks on from my accident and nothing but broken chat bots, disconnected numbers and a lot of robots and ‘computer says no’. This was a simple claim, I dread to think what it would be like for a bigger claim. Seriously take it from me- better to pay £50 more and go with someone else! I’ve even had to take a holiday day just to try and get through to them. Reviewed on: 15th November 2023

Temporary Drivers

They do not allow the addition of temporary drivers - which is utterly ridiculous! Really poor customer service - difficult to get through to an agent - very long hold times and then only option to add a drive was quoted at £250+ (despite full uk license, no convictions held >10 years) and I only needed her insured for 14 days! A comedy of errors

Don’t use them - ever! It takes you (and any of their subcontractors trying to deal with your claim) literally hours to get through to them. They left us over 3 weeks with no courtesy car and with a £1.5k bill to get back home when we had an accident in Spain. Due to a series of ridiculous errors, ended up delivering the car back to me 3 weeks later without it ever reaching a garage for repair! It’s a full time job dealing with my claim and trying to get some correct actions to resolve my claim. No response for over a week to a formal complaint. Reviewed on: 13th November 2023

Robot says one thing and then a human will contradict that information.

Steer well clear of Esure Flex. I've never had an insurance company not allow me to drive other people's cars with their permission to do so. Esure is the first company for this although the online chat Bot suggests Reviewed on: 8th November 2023

DON'T INSURE WITH THESE ROBOTS!

It's stressful enough when an accident happens and without a person to speak to it's even worse. NEVER insure with this insurer who have a non existent customer service department. Pay extra and go with ANYONE else. The owner of this company should be ashamed. Reviewed on: 7th November 2023

No customer support

Car hit by drunk driver in August outside my house . Car been written off by esure but not collected car since. Esure impossible to contact, been kept on phone for >1hr (at 0345 rate), Esure does not reply to e-mails and does not deal with raised complaints. I will tell everyone to avoid insurance with them. Impossible to talk to anybody

Esure live chat is never available. I tries 17 times. The email address has been closed down. The complaints emaill address is un monitored and the only contact can be made to the South African call centre. You cannot discuss anything and have to accept anything the computer comes up with. Cancellation I was offered £86 back from a £390 policy with 5 months remaining. Changebof reg I went from a £70,000 car Group 50 to a £8,000 car group 27 and i had to pay them £15.99! You can't discuss this as the call centre agents just say the computer gives the figure. I tried to complain but they will not action the complaint. You can't win with this company. Cowboys

Car was stolen on the 12th July. It’s now 23rd October and no payout. One phone call 55mins, I was told payment had been made. 7 days later no money. Another 1hr 22min call. I was told due to storm they were having difficulties and was promised someone would call me back. 5 days later still no phone call. Replied and sent a further 2 emails to an engineer called Morag Ross. Doesn’t bother responding, emailed customer services twice no response. Finally took the first step to “filing a complaint” and it’s been 3 days… nothing. When you get a quote from Esure, spend a £1000 more if you need to and go with the next provider otherwise you will regret it. 23rd October 20:48 UPDATE: Got through to someone today who told me they were going to investigate and call me back. No call. 26th October 08:59 UPDATE: I was told 2 days ago a payment has been made. Finance company haven’t received anything. 2nd November Got an email from the CEO office to tell me payment had been sent on the 25th of October. Called today and the finance company still haven’t received any money. The saga continues. Reviewed on: 3rd November 2023
