Trustworthy, available, honest.

I've been with Nationwide for 20 years now and they have never put a foot wrong. I have multiple accounts with them - ISA Help to Buy, FlexAccount, FlexDirect, 1yr Triple Access Savings, contents insurance, and a savings account for my child - and have only ever had a very positive experience. They never mess me around, deceive, or make it difficult to get help. They paid out my insurance claim immediately and without question. And MOST importantly they don't invest any of my money in fossil fuels, they use 100% renewable electricity, and they don’t send any waste to landfill. They are truly an ethical option unlike several other major high street banks who are propping up the destruction of the planet and children's futures. Easy to change account type

Always received a good service from Nationwide. When the account we held was no longer appropriate for us, staff informed us how to change the account type easily & simply online. This process was then incredibly quick to implement. Reviewed on: 19th April 2025

Switching to Nationwide was one of the smoothest banking experiences I’ve had. I took advantage of their switch offer, and everything—from the account transfer to receiving the reward—was seamless and well-communicated. The app is user-friendly, and their customer service has been consistently responsive and helpful. It’s refreshing to bank with an institution that feels both modern and trustworthy. The Nationwide has gone down hill

The Nationwide has gone down hill and make great play about being a mutual but cannot compete with the smaller new banks on their interest rates as they are very inefficient. They have been giving bonuses to some customers in a unfair way instead of paying higher interest rates. They also have some headline rate accounts to make people believe they pay high rates but you can only invest spall amounts in these accounts. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2025

Excellent access through local branch.

Excellent access through local branch... so important to speak to real person. Plus easy to use banking app giving best both worlds. Great insurance cover albeit fee has increased over last couple years. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025
