BAD BAD UGLY SERVICE

Account was credited with transfer from another bank. The transfer was verified within hours and on the account it was labelled as pending. This pending was unchanged f8r 10 days inspite of numerous calls to customer service and fraud team. Both say the money is there awaiting release by the computer. What a nonsense feedback. Each one tiu speak to put blame on the previous guy and they say it was not actioned previously and will immediately action it. NOTHING HAPPENS. Keep waiting and waiting and same nonsense was told . I dont know how these guys are earning their living. Is there someone there to check on them. Are they real. Finally we got so fed up with them that the referring bank is clawing the transfer. Closing the account is 100% option.
Wake up guys . Are you in deep coma .

This is two out of two experience with Santander . Their service , feedback and quality is appalling , and extremely poor communication among different sections of the bank. Feel their feedback is unreal, repetitive, boring and extremely unprofessional. Throwing excuses and blaming each other for not doing the request or job properly. This behavior in unethical, unprofessional and causes dismay and resentment by the customer. Not tackling the real issue, importance of customer complaint and reason behind it and you feel their presence is artificial. Experience tells me that mistakes are human made and not computer generated.

Don't honour deals

So I was planning to swap to Santander from RBS as part of th Business Banking Switch where switchers get £4000. I registered my interest and called up and went in store, they started the ball rolling with a phone application booked in. This never happened and I called to find out why, they weren't sure why it was missed and rearranged, them Coronavirus hit and it all grinded to a halt.

Now things are calming down I re-registered my interest and once again called up and went in store, however this time I was told that they were not accepting new applications at that time due to coronavirus (this was at the time of my last message 20th June)

This seemed reasonable and so I had been waiting to hear back that they are accepting applications again however I have now been informed by RBS that they have left the scheme and now I am now never allowed to apply for it.

I called them again and they have said they won't honour it or an equivalent deal. Because I've spent so long trying to set up an account with them there are no banks in my area in the scheme anymore

I am currently applying online for a mortage... Request for documents are never ending!! We both work full time and in good jobs... All the usual documents were sent and we get a message telling us they have all the info they require.. Yet... They then come back asking for more!!! Each time we send them what they ask for and the same happens again!!! It's happened 3 times now and if they don't get their ars into gear we will loose this property! Very poor company... We should have gone elsewhere!

We have been loyal Santander mortgage customers for 10 years and came to move and port our fixed rate mortgage to our new house, only to have Santander tell us after 8 weeks of providing them with various documents etc, and at the point of needing to exchange contracts, that they wouldn't in fact port the mortgage and we'd have to pay them a £14,000 penalty or find a different house to move to. Absolutely disgusting treatment. Don't consider them at all. We have since gone to Barclays who have issued a Mortgage Offer on our new house at a better rate than Santander in SIX WORKING DAYS! Well done Barclays

I've had my business banking with Santander for over 15 years. I applied for a CBILS loan. I received a rejection letter from head of business banking Susan Davies on grounds of my Experian score and affordability. I have just checked my score and it is 999 out of 999. My last tax returns also shows a personal income of £56,000.
Are these people infected with the Covid19, on drugs or just do not want to lend to small businesses?

Appalling service and refused accept a claim from weather damage

I have had home and contents insurance with Santander for years and never had to make a claim. Suffered wind damage to the roof and they were not interested as according to their records the wind speed was less than 55 mph and so I couldn't claim!...

Got locked out of the loan already approved just because I mistakenly typed a digit out of the released code sent to me by post.
I was asked to called them, I did and was told that the loan has been cancelled and I would have to make another application after 28 days or so.
Very ridiculous indeed.

I have been with Santander Business for over 10 years and run a Limited Company. Santander Business have got steadily worse, generally unhelpful and seem to have poorly trained staff . I am at a point where I am moving my banking elsewhere. They have let their business customers down badly over the government funded and backed scheme to help businesses through the Coronavirus lockdown. They are a disgrace to the world of business banking and should be fined by the Government.

I have been with Santander 123 current account 3 years now I think it is one of the best bank accounts on the high street it you get paid 1% from April Upton £20,000 in your current account and you get 1% back on water and council tax up to £5 and 2% on gas and electricity up to £5 and mobile phones network and broadband TV packages up to £5 cash back on all 3 so that's £15 you could get back and money on you current account as well you pay you pay £5 a month that's fine with me some months I get £21.39 the highs I have got back on cashback was £29.79 and you can get cashback on special offers on the account on shopping you need to activated Upto 15% on lots on shops so that's a lot of money they have never let me know and I love this as you get a lot of cashbacks from Santander
