Sincerely recommend you DON'T USE LLOYDS BANK!! 1. Wait for a month after opened the account to get the card. The reason was the staffs forgot to order the card. 2.Really bad service. Always wait more than half an hour to connect the supporters on the phone. The supporters on the phone are really impatient, hang up the phone when the signal is not good or when they don't hear you clearly. And the staffs in the brunch are really unhelpful, always ask customers to wait without giving help. 3. Locked my account without any reason after I transformed money from another bank. 4. Sent me the invalid activation code for twice. Overall, if you don't what any trouble, stay away from lloyds bank!

Kept on phone for 45 mins trying to sort out not being able to pay bills by bank transfer, spoke to 3 different people, had to go through security questions with each person and had to explain issue from scratch to each person I spoke to. Couldn’t help me and told me to go to my local branch even though it’s lockdown and I am trying to avoid going out! ‘By your side’ advert couldn’t be more wrong!

I have been a Lloyds customer for many years, originally with a combined buildings and contents home insurance policy, I suddenly realised that I had been paying two direct debits, one for buildings and a seperate one for contents, I was horrified, as I have never requested seperate cover, also both policies had been increased by £50.00 last year and I have never made a claim I have now cancelled my policies, DO NOT trust these people !!!

BEWARE OF LLOYS MOTOR INSURANCE.
I took out a motor insurance policy with Lloyds while having 20+ years of no claims entitlement. On renewing my insurance with another company, due to an unacceptable rise in the cost of the policy, I then found their proof of no claims certificate only acknowledges 9 years.
On questioning this I was informed this was company policy.
This has now cost me an increased premium to insure with another company, and will no doubt cost me more in in the future.
Be aware that any company requiring proof of no claims, you will only be issued with proof to a maximum 9 years NCD regardless of entitlement you may have.
I will never insure with Lloyds again or recommend them in the future.

Keep Clear of this Bank
I went into the Bank of Scotland to draw out Cash from my Lloyds account, as I was in Scotland which has no Lloyds Branches. I went into the Bank, people were in front of me in a cue and people came in behind me, a woman approached me and asked me what I wanted, I told her I had come into the Bank to draw out cash, she then asked me how much cash I wanted, I told her £1000.00, she said that was a large sum of cash. (RUBBISH) 50 years ago when people were paid in cash, I used to go to the Bank every week and draw out between £250.000.00 and £255.000.00 in cash to pay employees.
Then she asked me what the cash was for, I then told her it was none of her BUSINESS, then she proceeded to confront me and telling me how I should pay for items, she said that shops were only taking card payments, I told her that I always pay cash and no business had refused cash, This conversation was in front of other customers, so some of them could have left the Bank and phoned a criminal and given them a description of me and when I left the Bank they could have attacked me and stolen the £1000.00 pounds I had
just withdrawn from the Bank, I then proceed to the teller to get my cash, then another woman came
along and said I want to explain, I told her to shut her mouth, I did not want to hear what she had to say, I came into the Bank to withdraw cash not for a confrontation or an interrogation and told how I must pay for anything. I then got my money and left the Bank, this was all recorded on my Body Camera. I believe these two woman were LESBIAN MAN HATING WOMAN. I am not going to be dictated to by a Bank that went Bankrupt in 2008, because they were FINANCIALLY ILLITERATE.
Two weeks later I got a letter from my Lloyds Bank which said.
WE ARE WRITING TO YOU FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT OF VERBAL ABUSE AT THE UNION STREET BRANCH ON THE 2ND APRIL 202O.
IF THERE IS A REPEAT OF THIS OR ANY OTHER SIMILAR INCIDENTS THEN WE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE THAN TO GIVE YOU NOTICE TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT. THIS IS IN-LINE WITH OUR UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER BEHAVIOUR'S POLICY.
IN THE MEANTIME WE HAVE MADE A RECORD OF THIS INCIDENT AND THE ACTIONS WE HAVE TAKEN ON YOUR PERSONAL CUSTOMER FILE. IF YOU'RE UNHAPPY ABOUT ANY ASPECT OF OUR SERVICE, YOU CAN FOLLOW THE PROCESS OUTLINED IN THE HOW TO COMPLAIN BROCHURE WE'VE ENCLOSED IN THIS LETTER. NO BROCHURE ENCLOSED. SIGNED MANAGER NO NAME.
THIS LETTER WAS NOT ON LLOYDS HEADED PAPER, NO MANAGERS NAME IT WAS ON A PLAIN PIECE OF PAPER WITH NO ADDRESS OF MY LLOYDS BANK, ONLY POST BOX NUMBERS.
I CONTACTED LLOYDS BANK HEAD OFFICE ABOUT THIS AND ASKED WHAT HAD BEEN PUT ON MY PERSONAL CUSTOMER FILE, THEY ADVISED ME NOTHING WAS ON MY FILE ABOUT ANY INCIDENT, THIS LETTER WAS DONE BY THE LESBIAN MAN HATTING MANAGER AT THE BANK OF SCOTLAND MADE OUT IT HAD CAME FROM MY LLOYDS BANK. (FRAUD)
I THEN WROTE A LETTER TO MY LLOYDS BANK ASKING FOR AN EXPLANATION ABOUT THIS LETTER, AND THAT THEY HAD NOT ENCLOSED A COPY OF THE COMPLAINTS BROCHURE, I ALSO EXPLAINED THAT I HAD THIS ALLEGED VERBAL ABUSE ALL ON MY BODY CAMERA. I ALSO ASKED FOR THE MANAGERS NAME, I GOT NO REPLY, I THEN WROTE A COMPLAINTS LETTER TO THE CEO OF LLOYDS IN LONDON, RECORDED DELIVERY, AGAIN I GOT NO REPLY, I THEN WROTE TWO MORE LETTERS TO MY LLOYDS BANK RECORDED DELIVERY AND GOT NO REPLY, I HAVE CONFIRMATION FROM THE POST OFFICE THAT THEY WERE DELIVERED. I WENT TO THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE AND THEY WOULD DO NOTHING, AS THEY ARE FUNDED BY THE CORRUPT BANKS, I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF A SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST TO GET ALL THE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS INCIDENT AND THE DETAILS OF THE MANAGER AT THE BANK OF SCOTLAND THAT WROTE THAT FALSE FRAUDULENT LETTER TO ME. KEEP CLEAR OF LLOYDS BANK AS THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS EVER AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL, AND KEEP CLEAR OF THE BANK OF SCOTLAND WRITING LETTERS ON PAPER STATING IT WAS FROM ANOTHER BANK AND SIGNING THAT FRAUDULENT LETTER, REMEMBER THAT BANK PROTECTOR CAROLINE WAYMAN THE CEO AT THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE WILL NOT HELP YOU.

I went with Lloyds bank car insurance because they gave me a competitive quote. This year it's the old story; loyal customers are penalised and the premium has gone up by over £40 despite my having made no claims. I have found a much cheaper quote so I phoned Lloyds to cancel my renewal. Apparently it's an automatic one so you have to opt out. After 6 minutes of recording telling me to visit web site etc the phone started to ring and ring and ring. I eventually gave up after 17 minutes and visited the website to cancel my renewal and guess what; you can only cancel by phoning the number I gave up on. I've cancelled my direct debit and Lloyds Bank will no longer be "by my side"

Have been paying them for about 9 years for buildings insurance. Never made a claim and paid about £700 per year.
We have a recent water ingress coming in on the side wall bubbling up the paint and plaster and also entering the downstairs cloakroom.

They tell us it cannot be claimed unless wind was above 50mph. How would I know that? How would they know that?

This is exactly what you need buildings insurance for I said and after a lot of discussion they said they would send a surveyor BUT they are unlikely to say that it is a valid claim and I would have my record marked as having made a claim, even if I do not and cannot claim!

What a joke! I could not believe it. The only time I try to make a claim I cannot and I will be marked that I have regardless.

Needless to say I will not be renewing and I urge you to be careful when considering what I thought was a reputable company.

Terrible company.

I have been with Lloyd’s since I was 18 years old. I always thought that having the platinum account was great but I had never had to claim. This year, I was on holiday with my family skiing in France. I got engaged whilst we were there and everything was great until sadly a few days into the holiday, my dad passed away in his sleep. It was a horrendous shock and we had to get home. As soon as we were back, there was a lot to do including completing our claim with Lloyd’s. We gave everything we could give as evidence of what had happened. It is now 6 months later and they have been slow to come back to us, asking us for more information even though this had been given to them and querying everything we had claimed for. They ended up settling for a small amount of the claim with no explanation. The amount they settled was incorrect based on what they had said they had settled on plus they had ignored majority of the claim. How I see it, is that they had settled the minimum of what they thought they could get away with in the hope that we didn’t get back in contact with them. At the hardest time of life, something like this shouldn’t have added to the high levels of stress we were already experiencing. I have chased but not heard back at all. So disappointing.

After having an accident which was not my fault, they sided with the other party without even trying to win my claim for me. I did not renew my policy but they went ahead and auto renewed without informing me they were going to do so. Falsely claimed that I had signed up for auto renew which I would never do as I like to switch to the cheapest insurance. .. So they lied about that, trying to take money from a bank account that had been closed for a while. They threatened to try to do so again without permission. I felt pressured into paying for coverage that I had not requested but was told that they would not incur the cancellation fee of £55.00. Just waiting to see what happens next now? Very bad company and would strongly advise all drivers to avoid insuring with this company! Don't do it!
